Below is a very lengthy (over 1 hour) talk by Buffett at the University of Florida in 1998. It is significant because of its length and the discussion of his involvement with Long Term Capital Management. He also waxes poetic for his love of Coca-Cola, both the stock and the beverage. "At the peak of the boom in 2006, over a third of all U.S. home purchase lending was made to people who already owned at least one house. In the four states with the most pronounced housing cycles, the investor share was nearly half—45 percent." I like to call this the "Uncle Joe" indicator. When your Uncle Joe tells you to invest in Condos, Gold, or Internet Companies; its time to start selling. This inspirational quote come from Mike Bellafiore of SMB Trading. Those who have spoken with me regard career decisions have heard me refer to "knowing yourself" is key to making good decisions. This is in the same vein as quote above.
